Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Ilsa W — 19 May 2016
Normally can't stand Amy Schumer but she was surprisingly likeable in this. Nice to see Bill Hader doing semi-serious too. An all-round decent Judd Apatow movie, funny and really quite touching in places.
Schumer starts off as a pretty unlikeable character but you warm to her as the film goes on. Great comedy supporting efforts from Tilda Swinton, LeBron James and Jon Cena too. I guess I'd describe it as a believable rom-com.
More of a warts and all rom-com. Makes a nice change to have normal looking leads too!
