Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Jake M — 27 May 2016
Very very funny and an interesting take on modern relationships however I think it applies a bit too much of 'pop psychology' with Amy's character - her inability to form lasting relationships is quickly put down to the example of her father and her fear of failure.
I do really enjoy the relationship trajectory of her and Dr Conners and the changing and believable relationship with her sister. In a way I do find her relationship arc realistic but I also wish it could have been more comfortable with making her initial 'untraditional' relationship approach more normal and simply a result of something she enjoys.
