Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Heather W — 20 Nov 2015
When Lebron is on screen the movie is fresh and funny. More screen time for him would have been welcomed. Lebron gets a thumbs up for his first major motion picture performance. Another bright spot is Bill Harder who plays a likable Doctor.
His character kept me watching and prevented this movie from going off the rails completely. As a whole Trainwreck has a uneven feel to it and it never really finds it's footing. Many of the jokes from Amy feel forced and just don't land well.
Even with the film clocked at 202 minutes it feels about 20 mins too long. There is some clever dialogue and you will have some laughs but in the end this film is a forgettable one.
