This was a bad movie because I could not really get invested in Amy Schumer's character. I could not for the life of me understand what made her attractive, in terms of personality. Amy is hilarious, I do not dispute that.
But that is not the question. The question is why would the Bill Hader character as he was portrayed be interested or even willing to put up with the character played by Schumer. I related more to Amy's sister as being the heroine.
If the movie was about that character, I would have been happier. This thing sucks.
