Decent rom-com from Writer-Star Amy Schumer and Director Judd Apatow...and if Apatow could just learn to cut the damn fat it would be a great romantic comedy. Unfortunately a lot of the scenes and jokes are dragged out longer than they need to be, and there is too much obvious improv that seems to be taking the place of actual character development.

I enjoyed the movie, thought it was funny plenty of times, but as a movie, it just feels bloated. It is Apatow's style, he just needs an editor to teach him how to drop the stuff he really likes that doesn't belong.

Still Schumer's voice comes through and gives this rom-com a fresh angle that doesn't feel like the tripe you see come out so often. She is what made this work, and her rapport with fellow comedian Hader is solid.

She just needs a director who is a little less self indulgent when it comes to the improv stuff.
