Review of Trainwreck (2015) by Ian G — 04 May 2016
A surprise for me since I am usually of mixed opinions of the Apatow comedies, Trainwreck starts of of a similar formula of ackward observational humour with some gross outs but once Amy Shummer starts riffing with Bill Hader as her suitor magic really starts to happen, once all of her defences start to come down, along with some loveable charismatic scenes with Lebron James acting debut as Hader's best friend looking out for him in his new relationship.
Its a great build over the course of the film and worth the ride, will be interesting to see how Shummer follows this one up. Also look for one of the female Ghostbusters four in a subway bit part getting a little exporsure before donning her proton pack next summer.
Solid.
