Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Sean C — 05 Jul 2013
It's predictable, but like all things Danny Boyle directs, it's well-paced and engaging from start to finish. The script is fantastic and the performances elevate a rather one-note story. Robert Carlyle, in particular, and of course Ewan McGregor are real standouts.
I often dismiss this genre as tired, but Trainspotting has plenty to bring me back for another fix.
