Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Zack M — 05 Dec 2011
My favorite Danny Boyle film to date contains the same electric editing and equally energetic dialogue. I loved the Scottish setting and the well designed characters. It pulses with a style that is all Boyle's and every aspect benefits from it.
I also enjoyed it more than his other work because it wasn't afraid of showing the darker side of its story. At times it's unsettling and at times its optimistic, but it never skips a beat.
