Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Nathan C — 03 Dec 2012
A dark and haunting, but stylish and exuberant black comedy that hypnotizes you. Apt words to describe a flick about drug addiction. Yet somehow it's still relevant to this day.
A young man who seems to have no future goes about in Edinburgh using heroin, simply for the thrill of it. His friends are junkies, who get supplies from Mother Superior and spend their time with an alcoholic psychopath who hates people. But due to the law's intervention and the nastier side effects, he vows to come clean, but his social network threatens to lead him back into the underbelly of heroin and crime.
