Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Adam H — 26 Jan 2013
Shockingly powerful in almost every way possible. The graphic nature of the picture made this one of the most difficult films I've ever tried to watch, but there is no denying the quality of filmmaking to put together such a horrific, realistic and moving story.
As an audience we experience the highs and lows of the characters involved, and ultimately experience a superb redemption, rather than a limp and unresolved conclusion. Fantastic - but it's not for everyone.
