Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Anthony I — 23 Jun 2014
A brutal poem of addiction, withdrawal and bad decisions. Trainspotting is the defining movie of "Generation X". Think of "A Clockwork Orange" meets "Requiem for a Dream".
Danny Boyle directs the film brilliantly. The cast brims with overwhelming talent. Ewan McGregor captivates and destroys on the silver screen. Most importantly, the screenplay is rich with genius dialog that only enhances the original story by Irvine Welsh.
If you're a fan of movies, Trainspotting would be a carnal sin to miss.
