Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Holly K M S — 22 Feb 2016
Harrowing, addictive poverty porn where you sympathise with all & none simultaneously. A testament to brilliant acting & an expository perspective on what is still considered taboo. Moments of severity repeatedly shake the bones of viewers.
Juts of humour keep you watching. Moments make your stomach churn and question whether people would 'really do that?'. Yes, yes they would.
