Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Diogo S — 14 Jun 2011
Trainspotting was a grisly flick regarding the junkie subculture and how the separate themselves from the rest of society. Danny Boyle did a superb job at portraying how low a junkie can sink to accommodate their risky lifestyle.
Packed with strong lines and moving dialogues, this was one of those films that took a human condition and dramatized it with grace. The most memorable scene for me was when Ewan McGregor plunged into that disgusting toilet for his desperate fix.
All performers put on their best and it really showed.
