Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Rameshwar N — 27 Jun 2011
Most drug related movies show what all fun can be had with drugs in the first 90% of the runtime, then shows the ugly side of it towards the end (e.g., Requiem for a Dream). This is where trainspotting succeeds in it's intent and execution.
I am not the guy who wants a message out of a movie, but expect it to be honest. It has a lot of entertaining elements and does not press the depress button too often. Has the Boyle's trademark cinematography.
