Review of Trainspotting (1996) by Omid B — 05 Mar 2014
My all-time favorite movie. No other film has blown me away with the wit and horror that Trainspotting provided. Not only extremely stylish, this film has incredible power to it. It shows the viewer the rush as well as the terrifying downfalls of the main character Mark Renton, played fantastically Ewan McGregor.
The film does not falter in showing the viewer the realities of drug addiction. The compelling visual imagery relates to the content, as each scene has a meaning and purpose. The film is entertaining and educational about the terrible lifestyle involved with heroin addiction.
