Trainspotting is not a great movie, it's just a watchable average film. This film is not as haunting, irritating or terrifying as Requiem for a Dream(2001), which is a film that haunted me very much while watching it. I found that film to be extremely hard and the critics say that this film is not for the faint hearts??? Then how do you call requiem for a dream??. This film is for everyone, but Requiem fora Dream is not for everyone.

At first, I was not an enthusiast of Danny Boyle films. But it changed when I saw one of the greatest survival dramas ever made in History, which was made by Boyle himself. The film is 127 Hours(2010), a film that I consider equal to Cast Away(2000) in terms of likes. And I saw Sunshine(2007), a science fiction film that I enjoyed very much among my recent film viewings. And I shouldn't fail to mention about Slumdog Millionaire(2009), a film that I liked, but not as much as the other two that I mentioned.

Trainspotting didn't need much from Danny Boyle as a director. The film has some good performances, especially from Ewan McGregor and a few other male supporting actors like Robert Carlyle. This was Kelly Macdonald's first film and she is just in here for some stripping and nude show. I have never recognized this person as a good actor. I saw her previously on Intermission(2003), a film that I hate for multiple reasons. But I liked her on No Country For Old Men(2007).Ewan McGregor has given better performances in The Star Wars prequel series, Big Fish(2003) and The Island(2005), but this film is also one of his best for sure.
