Review of Training Day (2001) by Avtar R — 30 Mar 2011
First, I'm not sure why this movie is rated as highly as it is. Second, yes, Denzel Washington acted well and Ethan Hawke did a good job too, but the ending of the movie was clear from the beginning.
It was clear where it was headed and at the end of the day there's no real take-away from the movie. They could have wrapped it up in twenty minutes. I would have given it two and a half for effort and everything, but I'm adding in another half star because of the acting.
It was good, definitely. But, on the whole, not something that's worth raving about.
