Review of Training Day (2001) by Kevin L — 20 Nov 2011
The true glory of this movie is the depth of character Denzel Washington manages to achieve as a seasoned police officer who has in many ways become more coldblooded than the criminals he pursues. Throw in an excellent supportive cast led by Ethan Hawke as the morally good rookie cop and the rather simple story fades away in comparison with one of the best acting performances of the past decade.
