It puzzles me to this day how the writer of The Fast & The Furious penned the script for this film. But simply put it is brilliant. But saying that Washington takes it to another level with his performance as crooked cop Alonzo Harris.
Ethan Hawke's provides strong support but you cant really take your eyes off of Washington when hes on screen and he deserved his Academy Award.
