I LOVE DENZEL WASHINGTON! He's one of the best actors that has ever lived and is without a doubt the Robert DeNiro of black actors. He's fearless, beyond talented, and will always go down in history as one of the greatest actors that has ever lived and his performance in this movie proves it, as I still say is his all time best performance.
Ethan Hawke deserves a lot of credit as he really stepped up to the plate against Denzel as his rookie partner he lured into Denzel's evil deeds in this movie, but knows it's not the right thing for a cop to be doing what Denzel's slick and disturbing character does in this movie and that is why Denzel deserved the Oscar for Best Actor the year he won because you literally hated his character.
HATED.
