Review of Train to Busan (2016) by Jaime L — 27 Mar 2017

Terrific zombie flick, certainly ranks with the greats with a great twist to the genre. Zombies on a train! Has the social commentary that used to come with these types of films and it blended really well with action.

The main core of characters had personalities that made me care about their safety which is always an importance in any kind of horror film. The only real gripe I have with the film other than perhaps a familiarity with other zombie films like Dawn of the Dead (though this was very minor) is a certain scene towards the third act.

I was saying to myself, "she's going to open the door isn't she?" 'Sure enough... What prevents this from getting to the 9/10 mark for me but Train to Busan is an entertaining watch and will most likely bump something out of my Top 10 of 2016 to make room.

Need to watch again!
