Review of Train to Busan (2016) by Abb J — 07 Mar 2017
Train to Busan: A routine ride on a bullet train turns into a harrowing, edge-of-your-seat thrill ride when a nationwide zombie apocalypse breaks out and spreads onto the train as it races to the South Korean port city of Busan.
While the zombies' motor skills and infection speed vary wildly from scene to scene, and the uninflected villain could have dialed it down a bit (really? pushing teen girls in front of zombies - not cool!), director Sang-ho Yeon dazzles with non-stop action, eye-popping visual effects, well fleshed-out character development and brain-stimulating social commentary.
As zombie flicks go, this one is exceptional. See it. A-.
