Review of Train to Busan (2016) by Korben D — 18 Feb 2018
After being disappointed by 'Black Panther' this movie was a true revelation. At the beginning I didn't expect much of it after seeing a badly-acting van-driver complaining about a road block, but the action/drama starts fast.
After 10 minutes your eyes are glued to the screen with action-zombie-scenes weaved into a clever drama about a father and daughter and their strength to give up everything for each other. The cinematography is amazing, imagine it was shot inside a train with hundreds of extras, actors and a crew.
Hell of a job! The zombies are frightening enough to believe an apocalypse is happening and the mass scenes are unexpectedly stunning and suit the story. If they would turn this into an American remake I'm sure they would alter the ending, because the American audience wouldn't be able to handle the rawness and purity of the end.
Incredible performance by Kim Soo Ahn who plays the daughter of Yoo Gong. Overall the acting is beyond credible and the movie is a pleasure to watch. @Korben_Dallas on Twitter.
