Review of Trading Places (1983) by Nick R — 02 Mar 2009
Some movies stick with you and others don't. This great comedy has burrowed its way deep into my subconscious. I just saw it again without commercials or content editing (Comedy Central's constant repeats don't help the film).
Both Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy have been in a lot of movies and many of them have been funny and/or good. The humor and characters and situations in this film have an enduring value that I guess has something to do with its feel good plot.
As a side note, my knowledge of international finance is based more on this film than any other individual source. Mostly though, it is very funny.
