Review of Trading Places (1983) by Jonathan P — 13 Apr 2013
Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy are the perfect pairing, shame they only shared the screen for a small amount of time. Trading places is an enjoyable 80s comedy featuring Murphy and Akroyd who swap places in Americas Capitalistic society.
The premises seems funnier than the final outcome but even with the unused potential Trading Places provides for some good laughs and a revenge seeking finale that plays out with gusto. Trading Places isn't spectacular bit is one of the better comedies to come out of the 80s.
