Review of Trading Places (1983) by Byron B — 29 Aug 2013
Nature vs. Nurture? Prince and the Pauper. Bellamy and Ameche are 80's era fat cats doing a little social experiment. Aykroyd as spoiled rich kid Louis Winthorpe III and Murphy as wisecracking street hustler Billy Ray Valentine are the two trading places.
Both are hilarious. Elliott is the classic stiff English butler. Curtis is a hooker, who gets wrapped up with Louis. Watch how Wall Street trading allows the two young guys to get revenge on the rich brothers for their bet and laugh along the way.
