Trading Places is very close to a classic mainly due to its complexity, freshness in the plot, and a very good cast. One year later, Murphy stars in Beverly Hills Cop a much more famous film. Murphy's performance was better.
Dan stars in Ghostbusters. Both films were better but this film is still pretty entertaining.
