After "Abduction", I had no hope for Taylor Lautner to do anything of substance now that's he is removed from his "Twilight" fame. While his acting is still a subject that is on the fence, his latest action thriller "Tracers" is a decent entry in his short but stale filmography.

While Lautner hadn't really honed in his acting chops quite yet, his stunt work is very impressive and makes for great on screen entertainment. The film plays like a poor man's "Point Break" with a dash of "Premium Rush" and "Quicksilver" thrown in for good measure.

The parkour stunts are the highlight of the film and are filmed fairly well with a bit of shakey can but not used in a way where it's distracting you from the action. The action is really cool looking and really keeps you entertained for the majority of the film.

While the plot is a recycled one that you've seen time and time again, the stunts and sport of parkour spice it up to give it its own little unique flavor. The film is very fast paced with the exception of the contrived "love interest" that always needs to make it in these films, that is where the film began to lose me.

Overall, this is a nice, brisk little film with some decent acting, seen it before plot and some really well filmed action that if you know what you are getting into, you'll enjoy. B-.
