Review of Toys in the Attic (1963) by Allan C — 02 Sep 2016
So first off, this is not a four star quality of film, but it is has a four quality entertainment value if you're into high camp. In this overwrought melodrama from a Lillian Hellman play has fast talking Dead Martin returning to his family home in New Orleans with his new bride, the gorgeous Yvette Mimieux, to be with his two sprinter sisters, Gene Tierney and Geraldine Page.
There's greed, jealousy, incest and all sorts of over-the-top theatrics that are just absolutely unintentionally delicious! Fine director George Roy Hill is the man behind this entertaining debacle.
