Review of Toys (1992) by Raji K — 15 Aug 2015

Toys is an exuberant and colorful...kids movie? Action movie? Spy movie? All three? At times it's like a kids movie with its atmosphere and wacky characters, the final act is action packed, and the middle act finds the characters trying to infiltrate the antagonists toy-corporation-turned-war-compound like something out of the spy genre.

For that it feels tonally inconsistent. Toys could've been more straight-forward with its plotting, but the world-building, Robin Williams charm and soundtrack make it very watchable.
