Review of Toys (1966) by Tom R — 24 May 2008
This is the type of surrealist movie that should appear in the Criterion Collection. As weird as the movie was, I loved it. The visuals alone warrant it a recommendation from me. The actors were very funny when they needed to be.
The toy company the filmmakers created for us was outstandingly beautiful and quirky. The soundtrack was great. I just got a lot of emotion out of this holiday film and I think you should pick it up.
