An under-appreciated film that failed not because of anything wrong with the film itself, but because Levinson was too far ahead of his time. Today, in the post-Iraq War world, we understand this message.
But an America still basking in the afterglow of Gulf War victory in 1992 wasn't prepared to absorb the lessons of this film.
