Review of Toy Story 4 (2019) by Olilovesmovies — 06 Jul 2019
I’ll be the first to admit, I was apprehensive going into Toy Story 4 given that I thought number 3 was a near perfect sign off for the franchise, and I honestly didn’t feel there was much story left to tell. I am happy to say I was absolutely wrong, not only is Toy Story 4 a fitting addition to the series, it may even be one of the best instalments. The story, though retreading some well worn ground, still feels fresh enough to keep everything tied together and goes along at a solid pace, with enough twists and turns to keep everyone in the audience invested.
The characters (the ones that get decent screen time at least) stay true to themselves as we have grown to know and love them, and the film concludes in an extremely satisfying way.
I’ll not spoil any finer details, but will leave the suggestion that you go see it if you are a fan of the other films.
Very good film 9/10.
Don’t make a Toy Story 5 please.
