Review of Toy Story 4 (2019) by Glasscannon — 22 Jun 2019
This movie literally should not exist. It sounds impossible for the fourth movie in a series to be the absolute best, but Pixar just knocked this out of the park. Going into this movie, I expected it to be nothing more than a cash grab, and I was completely wrong.
Every main character is presented at their most human. Obviously the ending of Toy Story 3 was emotional, but I was not prepared to feel genuine emotion for a spork. I feel like I could see this movie again and again, it's honestly the best movie I've seen since Into the Spider-Verse last year.
For anyone thinking that Toy Story 4 is just a pointless cash-in, please see this movie. I promise that your low expectations will be shattered in the best possible way.
