Toy Story 3 is fantastic in every way imaginable. In my opinion, this is the Toy Story sequel to reach the same level as the original and it is an animated movie for other animated movies to take notes from.

Toy Story 3 brings together probably the biggest cast to ever be assembled in any animated film ever and every single actor here as voiced their character so well and almost everybody ends up leaving an impression on the audience.

This film not only works as a third movie, it also meets and exceeds all expectations that are ever met for a animated film ever it is also a sequel that truly feels important as you watch it. This time around, Andy is getting ready to head off to college and we learn when the film starts that the toys haven't been played with in years and the toys come to terms that Andy won't live with them much longer.

Right off the back, you are already on board with this journey of a film and the characters remain as lovable and memorable as ever. The bond between all the main characters is clearly felt in every scene they are together in and you want everything to turn out OK for them.

Toy Story 3 boasts some of Pixar's best animation yet. The characters look as real as ever and all the animators did an expert job creating the best animation a Toy Story film has ever had. There is pristine detail in everything that was created here and the best way to watch this film is definitely on Blu-ray because it is the format where everything pops.

You can really tell that the filmmakers put a lot of effort into making the movie and nothing ever came off as forced or contrived. What this movie does so well is mix and blend together comedy and emotion just like most of Pixar's other films.

The whole voice cast of the predecessors return for this installment and not a single actor has lost a beat in their talents. John Morris returns again to voice Andy and this time he really comes on his own as a character and gets to be part of the film's emotional center.

Another thing that added to the enjoyment here was the new additions to the supporting cast. Ned Beatty did fantastic as the villain Lotso. He has a backstory that shows his motivation for why he is doing what he is doing and you really hate him for the evil things he does here.

Michael Keaton did an expert job at voicing Ken and the scenes with him and the barbie girl were enjoyable to watch. Even the other characters that only just appear also added the enjoyment of seeing the expanded universe of Toy Story.

The dialogue in Toy Story 3 is well written and there were lots of quotable lines to be said. The final half hour really does manage to tug at the heart strings in every way and it has some of the emotionally moving scenes in a Toy Story film ever, you might even shed a tear or two.

Overall, Toy Story 3 is a classic in my eyes and it is a shining example of why Pixar is the best animation company making movies today.
