The mom is a huge profanity. Lotso is one of the best movie villains of all time. It has a few annoying modern contrivances; and it never pays off the Lotso/Daisy relationship (which would have made it an all-time epic movie). Lotso's ending could have been more satisfying. And the conclusion in general, is way too over-the-top syrupy, even for me.
But it is nevertheless immensely enjoyable. Borrows freely from The Great Escape, Cool Hand Luke, & Star Wars, to great effect.
