Review of Toy Story 3 (2010) by Adam S — 09 Nov 2013

The conclusion to the fantastic Toy Story trilogy is a brilliant film, and keeps Toy Story's reputation as the premier animated franchise alive.

Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris and Jodi Benson reprise their roles, and are joined by Blake Clark, Ned Beatty, Timothy Dalton, Kristen Schaal, Whoopi Goldberg, Bonnie Hunt, Jeff Garlin and Michael Keaton in this addition to the franchise as the stars queued up to be a part.

And you can see why, as the Toy Story franchise takes a whole new dimension when Andy grows up, leaving the iconic toys left without an owner and sent to a daycare centre, where they will risk their lives for each other. It's poignant, very sad at times, and at other times, shows Pixar's typical joy and happiness.

I don't think this franchise needs another theatrical installment, as this is the perfect ending spot. But if it does, I hope Pixar have another great storyline involved, and the franchise lives on. For infinity. And beyond.
