TOY STORY 3: New discovery never ends.
TOY STORY3 is the best movie I have ever watched. It was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The release date is June 18 2010. The director is Lee Unkrich and the producer is Michael Arndt. I am 18 years old now, so I'm not a little child any more, but this movie makes me feel very excited. I can't believe that this movie was made by computer because the character's motion and appearance is so human like. So I have never felt like I'm watching an animation movie. Every time I watch TOY STORY3, I can find new attractive points and it will never end. I have no complaints about this film.
In fact, I'm very satisfied with the whole story, specially the ending. Compared with TOY STORY 1and 2, 3 is more adventurous. I was so excited about what is going on the next film. The director focused on the relationship between people and toys as a main theme. As children grow up and become teen-agers, we face to a problem of how to deal with our toys. We may try to think "Should I keep them as they are or throw away?" This is a common problem which spreads among us. In this movie, Andy is in the same situation. Through TOY STORY 1, 2 and 3, we can learn one of many ways to solve this problem. (I think Andy made a nice decision in the end) Each series has uniqueness, but the main theme has never lost its way. This is a wonderful point of TOY STORY for me.
In TOY STORY 3, there are so many toys. So even if the people who had a hand in creating it, don't know how many toys are in this film. Needless to say, the main characters such as Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack) appeared in this movie. It has been 11 years since the last film, TOY STORY 2 was released. However, the voice of each cast fit naturally and all of them suit the characters just like 1 and 2. Furthermore, we can see a lot of new toys. The cast of them was also wonderful. They have a powerful voice and they can control it freely.
Lotso (Ned Beatty) is a key character in TOY STORY 3. In a sense, he has an affect on the fate of all the toys. First in the film, he seemed to be kind, friendly and generous. However, actually he was the opposite. He was a selfish and cold bear. He had the darkness in his heart because he had been thrown away by his owner. In a way, he expresses the REAL destiny of ordinary toys. In TOY STORY 3, some main characters are changed for a while. For example, Mr.Potato Head (Don Rickles) became "Mister Tortilla Head" to escape from a jail. Furthermore, Buzz began to speak Spanish. "!Mi florecita del desierto!". He suddenly dances the flamenco and behaves romantically. This is one of the funny points in the movie! His behavior is so hilarious for viewers.
I think TOY STORY3 is a collective of consideration. Once we watch this film, we can feel a passion and big love for the director to make this great film. To draw the scene of a prison, some staff went to real prison and they researched about the shapes, the atmosphere, and so on. Moreover, later in this film, Japanese famous character, Totoro appeared as one of Bonnie's toys. The director, John Lasseter said about this entertainment. He said "We do little homages in our films, and we thought it was a very appropriate homage to let [Miyazaki and his film company] Studio Ghibli know how much they mean to us." When I discovered Totoro, I was so excited and also I felt a familiarity with this movie. It is not only entertainment they made. For example, to see the character's behavior such as how to blink, how to move their mouth or hands, all of their behavior is human like. The staff studied about human behavior to let the viewer feel this is not a typical animation movie. Such a tiny, but very important consideration is the reason why TOY STORY3 is loved by so many fans including me.
