Review of Toy Story 3 (2010) by Doctor S — 17 Jun 2014
That an animated film can get an audience to care this much about a bunch of plastic toys that don't even exist in physical reality is really all you need to know. Some pure movie magic at work here in a very funny and touching story about friendship, loyalty, and growing up.
Loved the patterning after The Great Escape, the best referential comedy involves Ken and Barbie, and they actually had me believing for a moment that beloved characters would be sacrificed in a family movie.
Outside of an overly sentimental ending, TS3 provides pretty much perfect entertainment for all ages..
