Disney was genius with Pixar to make the first Toy Story film, which was the first ever fully CGI seen film in history! It had an awesome plot, great characters, wonderful music, fantastic cast led by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, amazing animation, and was very groundbreaking! It was released the year of my birthday, 1995! I loved it, it's my favorite Disney film! When I turned 4, a few years after, the second film, Toy Story 2 came out, and was really great, too! It actually was not intended to be in theaters, but when they saw how impressive the story, characters, animation, and music was, they changed their minds, and yeah, it was the best idea for the film! You also discover the unknown about Woody, which was never told about at all in Toy Story 1! I'd say it was just as excellent as the original film for those reasons! Now since I love both the first 2 so much, I had wanted them to make a third film for several years, and even had dreams about it! Five years ago, I heard about it, and saw the previews for it, and my mind was blown! I felt like, "Wow, it's happening!" Sadly, it wasn't really very true.

Yeah, it all comes down to how the writers of Disney and Pixar split up in 2006, or something like that, Pixar decided Toy Story 3 was being made only because Disney almost forced them into it! I even wasted all my parents' money, and time into seeing this awful film! The first time I saw it in theaters the opening day, because I had so many high expectations for it, I didn't like it at all for some reason, and then I went to see it again four more times, and I even watched it when it came to DVD a few times, and I must say, I officially hate it! Hate it, hate it, hate it! Why? It's annoying to an extreme, it has a horribly written script, which really only is aimed towards adults, and not the whole generation of people, which would be kids, too, like the previous films did, lousy music, reprised by Randy Newman, who actually did a wonderful job on the other films, a bigger role with Barbie, who was only brief in the second film, but now just drives me crazy, along with.

. oh please, Ken! The villain is a major problem, too. Lotso, Huggin, Bear, if you did not know, is an old, scrapped, bad concept of a villain, who was rejected a long time ago by Pixar back when they first became famous with the short film that is what Toy Story became based off of, A Tin Toy! Also, he's very familiar in the way that his persona in this film really just mocks the identity of a couple other villains, who were not so nice to the toys in the past, one being an old fat, crusty gold digger, with a very ugly face, and white beard, and an axe for a weapon, and the other being a mentally disturbed, destructive bully, who used to live very close by the toys' owner, Andy! In that case, the writers couldn't come up with something entirely new for a villain, and just had to pull one right out the rejected concept trash bin for the film! I'll admit the animation is still very good, but that's not saying much, the film still sucks overall.

The voices by the actors in this one don't sound as clean as they used to, and are a lot more raspy, and clumsy. Though, Jim Varney, who was the original voice of Slinky, died because of cancer, and his best friend, who he had known very well when he was alive, actually voices Slinky this time for him, and sounds pretty good.

Like I said, still, TS3 is not at all a treasure. The last problem with the film is, Andy, who is 18 yrs. Old in it, acts like he's just so ungrateful for anything, and his mom is somewhat a lot more rude, too, so no wonder the toys think he doesn't care about them! Still, Woody does not think so, so I guess he's just more hopeful, and confident than the others.

Why does Andy not even keep his toys, including Woody, and just gives them to that little girl at the end of the film, though? He can still have them, only because he has to go to college doesn't mean he can't have his toys.

Yeah, he does act more caring by that point, but why does he give them all up? All of these things I'm pointing out are what make this film suck! Another major thing to say is that John Lasseter, who directed the first 2, he doesn't direct this one, and that makes a difference, as well.

If you look back on TS2, they actually talk about this a little bit, but gain assurance that it won't happen for years, and right when you expect that it means there's still more stories that are just exciting, and fun to be told, you find yourself seeing exactly what the negative side was said to be 11 years down the road! Too predictable, too, when I think about it! That's because they didn't make the 3rd TS a long time ago, which would have been a lot better off, and instead, did too much other stuff all these years! I had expected this film to come faster, myself, and it never did! Although, despite my intense disappointment with this film the way it did happen, Pixar and Disney have said a few times, and even Tom Hanks, too, that there are still probably going to be more installments in this franchise, and I hope they're a lot better than this one, but because of the blow on this one, I highly doubt it, and would say that when they chose to make this, the reason they put it off so long, and made the story and everything the way it is, is because they just naturally ran out of ideas, like most film franchises do by this point.

If you've seen Toy Story and Toy Story 2, and loved them very much, yourself, and are expecting this film to be just as great or even better, you will be harshly disappointed, so my advice would be, don't bother.

This is one of the worst Disney films, I've ever seen, alongside, Cars 1 & 2, which are even more horrendous! I'll also say that a very good prime example of Disney films with the worst sequels to them, would be Toy Story 2.

I safely enjoy just worshipping this animated franchise before it became garbage.
