This was a great sequel, one of the best ever. It had all the elements of a sequel and hardly any bad if any. The story was good, but I feel like the "forgotten toy" hitch in the plot was a little too easy and was leaned on a little too much.
It took away from this and was better incorporated into the final installment. Overall, it was a superb movie. It introduces plenty of new and builds on a lot of what the first movie, a classic on its own, did right.
There were a lot of little funnies in this movie that the last movie lacked, but the ending was Toy Story 2's biggest weakness. It felt rushed, and (I can't believe I'm saying this) too implausible.
Still a great movie, I just didn't feel full when it was over.
