"You are A toy, a child's play thing.".

The start of it all, the start of THE greatest animation studio of all time. Watched and beloved by everyone across the world - kids and adults - no one can resist the brilliance of 'Pixar' and the start of it all 1995s 'Toy Story'.

I can't count how many times I've seen 'Toy Story' but its a lot - only 'The Simpsons Movie' has more plays from me. There literally nothing wrong with 'Toy Story'; its perfectly paced, its got heart' the acting is superb, its very funny and it looks sensational (even to this day.) Its still regarded by most as their best work (for me however, that goes to 'UP') and even though I disagree its not difficult to see why some think so.

I was shocked to see how good it looks after all these years - despite it being 17 years old. Everything looks like it should 'Woody' looks like he's made of wood and cloth 'Buzz' looks like he's made of plastic. The animation is perfect after all this time I expected some choppyness - but no it flows just as well as their most recent work.

The plot works for both adults and children telling a story of acceptance, fitting in and miss-placed jealousy. Its perfectly paced and full of memorable scenes - Pizza planet, Cid's bedroom, the lorry chase at the end. Its jam-packed with instantly recognizable scenes and quotes. "Reach for the sky!", "You are A toy, a child's play thing", "There's a snake in my boots", "Too infinity and beyond" the list goes on. The characters build there personality and its odd to think we care so much for these characters when are after all toys. It shows the power this film holds.

'Toy Story' has everything its hilarious, full of memorable quotes, perfectly weighted plot, a point to the story, brilliant voice work and it looks amazing. It is perfect even some 17 years later it truly is a classic film, a film that'll go down as the origins of CGI films and a legendary masterpiece of animation and films in general.
