Sure, in the 17 years since its release, Toy Story's CG animation lacks in texture compared to Pixar's later efforts, but it's still a beautiful film that exceeds most rival studios' output.
The characterisation is spot on, and Joss Whedon's screenplay hits the right notes for kids and adults alike in a film that grows better with age, invoking childhood nostalgia in older audience members and pure wonderment in the youngest.
