Review of Toy Soldiers (1991) by Jonathan G — 18 Jun 2008
A film remembered from childhood rarely lives up to the memory, but this film is still as ridiculous and enjoyable as it ever was. Die Hard meets Dead Poets Society is not the most obvious marriage, but it's so much fun, who really cares? The bad guys are the bad guys, the good guys are the good guys, the violence is comic book, the action is over the top and it's Hollywood to the last.
Does anyone else miss this kind of pure unadulterated fun in an action movie?
