Review of Tower Heist (2011) by John C — 15 Jun 2012
Surprisingly effective comedy. I'm not a fan of Stiller or Murphy, particularly, but this was a funny, sometimes touching movie about a group of "peons" who decide to steal from the rich guy who lost all their pensions. Alda was very effective as the rich guy, Tea Leoni was great as one of the FBI agents.
The plotting was a little uneven, and the laughs were a bit uneven, and the ending sequence is fun but totally unbelievable. However, it was fun to watch, both my wife and I were amused, and we had a good time watching it.
(V).
