Review of Tower Heist (2011) by Michael J — 06 Aug 2012

This is a fun movie - not thought-provoking, not memorable, not even particularly plausible, but just plain old fun. I cared about the characters by the end. Everybody (except Alda) gets their turn at being funny, whether it is sharp raunchy Murphy humor, straight-man Stiller humor, neurotic Broderick humor (when did Ferris Bueller turn into Cameron, anyway?), or various other flavors of comedy from the rest of the cast.

It takes a while to get up to steam, but once it gets going it's pretty fun stuff. Only 4 stars because I doubt I'll remember the plot in six months, but no less because I did laugh!
