Review of Tower Heist (2011) by Janna L — 07 Dec 2012
Made me laugh more than I expected it to, due more to the supporting cast (Alan Alda, Judd Hirsch, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick) than the leads. That said, this is Eddie Murphy's most enjoyable comedic work since Bowfinger, when he was reined in by the genius of Steve Martin -- Murphy's best comes out when he's not expected to carry a project.
As for Ben Stiller, he pulls out his angry guy routine once or twice ("today Steve McQueen's my little bitch!"), but for the most part he's the straight man in Tower Jeist.
