Review of Tower Heist (2011) by Lewis E — 07 Sep 2014
Despite pretending to be both, 'Tower Heist' delivers neither a smart heist nor a funny script while the cast succeeds in being well-balanced only because they are all equally weak. At least Eddie Murphy plays a more dignified role in comparison to his recent movies but in essence he is just the sparingly used token black stereotype.
Furthermore, this film does nothing to dispute the view that Murphy and Stiller are long past their prime. You'll have more fun jumping off a tower.
