Review of Towelhead (2008) by Campbell K — 03 Jan 2009
I knew if Alan Ball's writing hands had anything to do with it I would be in for a daring ride filled with difficult issues like 'American Beauty' and it sure was but just not as superior. Bashil did a great job playing what would be a difficult role to play.
She manages to balance having both the innocence of her age with the sexual curiosity and how she deals with the difficult lessons along the way. Eckhart's acting is really evolving, I first noticed his excelled craft in 'Dark Knight' and now in this difficult performance.
I am torn between a 3 1/2 and 4 rating but I am going to give it a 4.
