Review of Towelhead (2008) by Geoff T — 04 Jan 2009
I don't disturb easily, but Alan Ball managed to get to me with this one. While it was excellently shot and directed, and the acting was spectacular, I really think Ball tried to tackle a few too many themes in one film. I am a big fan of Alan Ball's other work, so I really had my hopes up for this one.
Ultimately a fairly realistic view of 'real life', but a little to much shock value for me, and honestly, it's not that easy to shock me.
